The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is a Canadian immigration pathway that allows the province of New Brunswick to nominate individuals for permanent residency (PR) based on its economic and labor market needs. The program offers several streams tailored to different applicant profiles, including skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs.
Main NBPNP Streams (as of 2025)
- Active profile in the federal Express Entry system.
- Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or French.
- Educational credential equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma or higher.
- Sufficient settlement funds.
- Intent to reside in New Brunswick.
- Employment in New Brunswick: For candidates with at least 12 months of full-time work experience with a New Brunswick employer.
- New Brunswick Interests: For candidates with a strong connection to the province, such as previous study, work, or family ties.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Full-time, permanent job offer from a New Brunswick employer.
- Age between 19 and 55.
- Minimum CLB 4 in English or French.
- Relevant work experience and qualifications for the job.
- Intent to live and work in New Brunswick.
- Target Group: Francophone immigrants.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong French language proficiency.
- Intent to reside in New Brunswick.
- Ability to contribute to the province's economic development.
4. NB Critical Worker Pilot
- Purpose: Address labor shortages in specific sectors.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Job offer from a designated New Brunswick employer.
- Willingness to settle in the province.
- Meet language and other program requirements.
5. NB Private Career College Graduate Pilot
- Target Group: International graduates from specific New Brunswick private career colleges.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Completion of an eligible program.
- Job offer in a related field within 90 days of graduation.
- Meet language, age, and other criteria.
6. NB Business Immigration Stream
- Target Group: Entrepreneurs and business owners.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum net worth of CAD $500,000.
- Investment of at least CAD $150,000 in a New Brunswick business.
- Ownership of at least 33.3% of the business.
- Business plan and intent to actively manage the business.
Application Process
- Submit an EOI through the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) portal.
- EOIs are assessed, and top candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
2. Application Submission:
- Submit a complete application within 45 days of receiving an ITA.

3. Nomination and PR Application:
- If approved, receive a provincial nomination.
